This item addresses matters that were previously held in committee and are now being brought back for council consideration.
6.1New BusinessREGIONAL POLICE TRAINING CENTER The Police Department’s training team will provide an overview of the need for a local regional training center to ensure the highest level of training for our police officers to serve our community. The presentation will provide examples of model training centers and outline Chief Cregan’s goals to seek grant funding to pave the way for the training center in the future.
The Police Department will present plans for a regional police training center to improve officer training and discuss efforts to secure grant funding for the project.
