6.3General BusinessMOTION - COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT GRANTS The Community Advisory Board (CAB) reviews and approves the 2025 Community Improvement Grant Applications. The Board shall award grants to the applicants whose projects best meet the criteria. There are two grants that have been submitted for the April-May 2025 period, totaling $4,600. The current balance is $7,974.7; if all grants are awarded the remainder balance for the current fiscal year will be $3,374.7. Provided information. Attachments: April-May 2025 Applications Summary; April-May 2025 CIG Grant Applications RECOMMENDATION: - As per the City of Santa Rosa Public Art Policy, art projects, including murals, receiving City funding or are located in City Property, must be approved by the Arts in Public Places Committee. It is recommended by the Communications and Intergovernmental Relations Department that the Community Advisory Board, by motion, approves the West Avenue Mural Project Grant Application, contingent on the Art in Public Places Committee Approval. - It is recommended by the Communications and Intergovernmental Relations Department that the Community Advisory Board, by motion, determine the dispersing of the Circus Jam Grant Application.
