General Business
5.1General BusinessSTATEMENT OF PURPOSE The Planning Commission is charged with carrying out the California Planning and Zoning Laws in the City of Santa Rosa. Duties include implementing of plans, ordinances and policies relating to land use matters; assisting in writing and implementing the General Plan and area plans; holding public hearings and acting on proposed changes to the Zoning Code, Zoning Map, General Plan, tentative subdivision maps, and undertaking special planning studies as needed.
A description of the Planning Commission's overall responsibilities, which include implementing local land use plans and policies, holding public hearings on zoning changes, and reviewing subdivision proposals.
5.2General BusinessCOMMISSIONER REPORTS
Planning Commissioners will provide brief updates or reports on topics relevant to their work.
5.3General BusinessOTHER (i.e. VICE CHAIR ELECTION, NEW MEMBER INTRODUCTIONS)
The Commission will handle any miscellaneous business such as electing a vice chair or welcoming new members.
