6General BusinessThe Common Ground Society Under 5 Meetup grant application from Common Ground Society requests funds to host monthly meetups to support families that have children with disabilities. The group is especially important as a child’s disability, medical complexity or unique need is often discovered at 5 years or younger so, families need a lot of support and assistance navigating challenges which may be new or unexpected.

7General BusinessCAB ANNOUNCEMENTS AND ISSUES OF CONCERN TO CITY RESIDENTS CAB Members may share community news, upcoming community events that may be of interest to the CAB and issues of concern for residents. This is also the time when CAB Members may announce departure from the meeting early, or any other announcement that may affect the meeting.

8General BusinessSTAFF UPDATES This time is reserved for City staff to provide a briefing on issues of interest. No action will be taken on these matters except to possibly place a particular item on a future agenda for consideration.

9General BusinessThe Sonoma Sports Kickball Social League grant application from Sonoma Sports requests funds to start a kickball league that will provide a free recreational sports environment accessible to people of all athletic levels. This will help develop camaraderie and friendships within the community for the 21 and over age demographic who do not have as many social outlets.

10General BusinessThe Saturday in the Park grant application from The Neighbors of Coffee Park requests funds to host a community-driven event focused on fostering unity and camaraderie within the neighborhood, cultivating a sense of togetherness through the celebration of music, food, and arts. Grant Applications for Quarter 2 will close on June 28, 2024. The CAB received five applications eligible for funding, totaling $10,528.4. The projects are as follows:
